I read a lot of positive reviews which led me to drop off my heads with confidence but this guy is shady. He quoted me one price when I dropped off my heads then called when he was done with the heads and it was 197 dollars more. Of course he tried to explain it but the numbers still didn’t add up. When I went to pick up the heads I notice that they were a different set of heads with someone’s initials engraved in them. They were 243 heads like the ones I gave him but not my heads. I didn’t say anything because after the thing with the money I just figured it’d be best to let God handle it and move on. I’m skeptical but I hope the heads are usable. The reviews said he did good work but they also said he was a stand up guy. That definitely isn’t true. I’ll have them checked out before I go through the trouble of putting them on my motor. I hope this helps someone. I learned the hard way. The $525 hard way.

Most businesses would tell you that they can't do something. Not this guy. He'll tell you he's five months out and make you wait a year. And then whenever you call him, he still tells you, he is four months out. Be more responsible. Instead of me wasting my time and money and you wasting your time.Why did you have me send my engine to another machine shop to have a special tool made only so you don't do it.. Your ridiculous you should have just said no

Danny in my opinion, which is based off being a ASE master certified Technician. Should have some depth and weight . He is very knowledgeable and has years of experience. Every time I have an engine rebuild I have Danny and his team do the machine work. Which in I warranty all my rebuilds , so your dam right I better trust the machinist. I trust Harbor engine period.

Top quality machining, Danny has a huge knowledge base and has produced great consistent quality on all the engines I have taken him. The shop is busy all the time for good reason. Definitely recommend.

I dropped off my engine block, rotating assembly and cylinder heads with Danny and we sat down for approximately a hour and he listened to everything that I had in mind concerning my build. All prices were talked about before hand. I had the block decked to a height of .005" , align honed, bored .040 with tq plates. Rotating assembly was race balanced to true . My Vortecs were shaved .010" and the spring seats were ground to accept PAC 1218 beehive springs with a max lift of .600". I also had a 3 angle valve job done. Took him press in wrist pins, but I decided to make the pistons full floating. The crosshatch in both the rod big end and the cylinder walls is some of the best work I e EVER seen. I will definitely be dropping off another customers block here again. Harbor engine and grinding definitely has gained my my business for many years to come.
